BeechNut Homestyle Whole Grain Oats with Raspberries Review

Stage 3 food for 8 months and above

Taste: Excellent! Flavorful, with a bit of zing, smooth.

Beech Nut’s Whole grain Oats with Raspberries is very healthy indeed and it is an improvement in taste from previously produced Whole Grain Oats Cereal with Raspberries with DHA.

It is  a whole grain cereal. Whole grains are cereal grains that retain the bran and germ as well as the endosperm, in contrast to refined grains, which retain only the endosperm. This cereal is made with whole oat flour so it has greater amount of dietary fiber which benefits baby’s developing digestive system. Raspberries have very high content of fiber as well. They are high in vitamin C and are loaded with antioxidants.

However, if your baby has a preference for sweeter foods she might not like this cereal due to its sourish taste.  This cereal has a  sourish taste of raspberries. If mixed with other sweeter fruit, like  bananas, it can be quite a treat!

When opened cereal has to be refrigerated and used within three days.

Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C and flavanoids which are known for their antioxidant properties. Some children and adults might develop an allergy to strawberries so when giving strawberries for the first time to your baby use caution and see if any allergic reaction in a form of rash or hives develop. Apples are high in fiber and rich in antioxidants.
