PRODUCT REVIEW
Like we mentioned earlier, Gerber uses a special process
called Nature Lock. This process is done by cooking the
ingredients over less heat, more gently than other leading
manufacturers. This special way that they cook allows more
of the foods natural flavor to come through for your baby to
enjoy. They do not add any modified food starch or
artificial flavors, colors or preservatives in the
formulation. The Gerber 2nd Food line usually comes in 4
ounce jars. The 2nd foods line have a thicker consistency
and richer texture than the Gerber starter line.
The combination of Bananas and Apples is very basic and the
resulting flavor is pretty smooth and to the liking of most
babies. Even lot of moms seem to like it as well. But keep
in mind a few spoonful could mean the jar bottom soon and
you might end up buying more jars. Of Course added expense
as well.
Also like all other products we reviewed, this has also a
recommended start date. But always talk to your doctor to
find out when your baby is ready for solids. Do not assume
that all babies are the same because they are not. Your
Child's doctor knows the best and can advice you and give
you a green signal if its ok to start with solids!
