you are a new mom or a veteran you probably already know and
have experienced your child go through this. Well sometimes
you even open the diaper eagerly hoping that smell, is in
fact stools. But to increase your worry it is not.
Well, the answer lies in how much fiber your little one
needs. Fiber can soften the stools and make it easy for
them. Gerber Prunes with Apples has fiber and it always help
most children having this problem. It has 2g of fiber. This
is seem pretty small, but either way you slice it and dice
it, the fact remains that it is prunes.
Also, this has about 80 calories and 150mg of potassium.
That is almost 10 times more potassium then in your typical
box of rice or oatmeal cereals for babies.
Gerber claims that it only contains natural fruit sugars.
This is made with NATURELOCK ingredients, which is a unique
process to capture nature's goodness from fruits and
vegetables; A claim made by Gerber. Even though we
personally have not verified it, we still believe it. It
also has 10 percent Vitamin A, which is good for eyesight.
Also this comes in 2 pack and easy to carry and can be
closed again. This is important since small babies, to your
surprise, suddenly can decide to stop eating or simply loose
interest. Don't worry they will want it again. Also
some babies like it warm and this pack is microwaveable.
This is very convenient because, you do not need to transfer
the contents into another plate or bowl and then microwave
and then feed. Those additional 2-3 minutes you spend here
might just mean the difference in catching that train, or
avoiding that rush hour traffic. You know what we are
talking about.
As far as taste goes, you cant complain. It is prunes and
apples. Some babies initially may frown to the taste of
prunes, but the benefits it brings on easing constipation
alone makes it ok to feed.
Overall, this product receives a rating of "Good" and a
taste rating of "Delicious"!
